Termite Inspection Company in Long Beach, CA

If you've spotted what looks like damaged wood, tiny pellets near windowsills, or wings shed along baseboards, your instinct to get an inspection is the right one. Southern California’s climate allows termite activity to persist throughout the year, and Long Beach homes, many of them decades-old Craftsman bungalows and post-war ranches, give these insects plenty to destroy.

Our licensed inspectors can be at your door fast, and your inspection is completely free, with no obligation to schedule treatment afterward. We believe homeowners should be able to get clear and honest answers. Since 1992, we’ve helped protect Southern California homes with transparent inspections and straightforward guidance people can trust.

Secure a free termite inspection from a licensed professional you can trust. Reach out online or call (866) 827-1727 to schedule service now.

What a Free Inspection from Kilter Termite and Pest Control Covers

Our inspections are thorough, not just a quick walk-around. Our State Licensed Inspector examines every accessible area of your property where termite activity is most likely to originate or spread:

  • Attic spaces and roof framing
  • Sub-area crawl spaces and floor joists
  • Exterior wood siding, eaves, and fascia boards
  • Window and door frames
  • Garage structures and fencing adjacent to the home

After the inspection, you receive a detailed state-registered termite inspection report explaining exactly what was found, where, and what your treatment options are. We walk you through everything, including the pros and cons of each approach, so you can make an informed decision.

What Happens After Your Termite Inspection

Once the inspection is complete, our Long Beach termite inspectors will explain the findings clearly and provide you with a transparent bid for treatment options.

KILFOAM™

When the infestation is limited to specific areas and drywood termites, KILFOAM™ may be recommended as a localized treatment option. This method targets affected spaces within structural wood and other problem areas without treating the entire home.

KILGUARD™

For homes that need a more comprehensive approach, KILGUARD™ may be the better fit. This treatment addresses termite activity beyond a single isolated area and provides wider protection throughout the structure.

Full-Tent Fumigation

When termite activity is extensive or spread throughout the home, full-tent fumigation may be necessary. In those situations, fumigation can offer the most effective way to treat the entire structure at once.

How High Is the Termite Risk to Local Homes? What You Should Know.

Long Beach includes some of the oldest housing stock in Los Angeles County. Neighborhoods like Belmont Shore, Bixby Knolls, and Park Estates are full of character-rich older homes that are also more susceptible to drywood and subterranean termite activity. The city's proximity to the coast means humidity levels that subterranean termites favor.

California is home to over 23 identified termite species, and the two most destructive, Western drywood termites and Western subterranean termites, are both active throughout Long Beach year-round.

Kilter Termite and Pest Control inspectors know this area. We service Long Beach regularly and understand the local construction styles, soil conditions, and termite pressures specific to this part of Los Angeles County.

Signs You Need to Call Us for a Termite Inspection

Termite activity is often easy to miss until the damage becomes more extensive.

  • Discarded wings near windows or doors: Termites shed their wings after finding a place to nest. Wings around entry points or windowsills can be a sign of a nearby infestation.
  • Wood that sounds hollow or feels weak: If wood trim, flooring, or other wooden features sound hollow when tapped or seem unusually fragile, an inspection is worth scheduling.
  • Mud tubes along walls or crawl spaces: Subterranean termites build mud tubes to travel. These tunnels are one of the most common warning signs around the exterior of the home.
  • Tight-fitting doors or windows: Moisture from termite activity can cause wood to swell, making doors and windows harder to open or close.
  • Bubbling paint or distorted wood surfaces: Wood damaged by termites can cause paint to look uneven or blistered. Surfaces may also appear warped or slightly sunken.
  • Frass or droppings near wooden structures: Drywood termites leave behind tiny pellets that can collect near baseboards, windows, doors, or other wooden elements.

Schedule a FREE Inspection Before Damage Becomes Expensive

A termite inspection is the lowest-cost action you can take today to protect what's likely your most valuable asset. Termites cause more than $6 billion in property damage nationally each year, most of it not covered by standard homeowner's insurance policies.

An early inspection followed by targeted treatment is dramatically less expensive than structural repairs down the road. If you're buying or selling a property in Long Beach, a clear inspection report is also a practical necessity under California real estate disclosure requirements.

Contact us online or call (866) 827-1727 to schedule an inspection. We’re available 24/7 and offer same-day availability.

  • Yes. We want to earn your long-term business, not use a contract to force you to stay. The only reason we require a signed agreement on file is the recurring auto pay. We need the agreement to show you approved the charges, but every Kilter Pest Control agreement says you may cancel anytime.
  • Free termite inspections, “Stay in Your Home” termite treatments, Fumigations (termite tenting), Free Rodent Inspections, Rodent control, Wood repair & replacement, insulation services, free bed bug inspections, bed bug heat or spray treatments + every type of commercial pest service.
  • You have a couple of options. Pest Shield™ begins on a Quarterly service schedule with free, unlimited re-treatments. During the months we are not scheduled to treat your home, call for free re-treatments. Turn your quarterly schedule into a monthly schedule. The only catch is that you must call and schedule the re-treatments. If you want us to schedule monthly, then you’d need to sign up for our Monthly service plan, which is $69/month.
